Nothing Butt Time (2016 - )

A series of paintings of male butts functioning as clocks. The source images are taken from vintage Playgirls, referencing the second wave of feminism which pushed for legalization of birth control and abortion and the equal rights amendment, leading the way for a less passive and more open expression of the female sexuality. The series focuses on the evolution of American women in society on an economical and social level and their relationship to time, especially in respect to men and the shifting gender dynamic.
